It's A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!

Sun is out and brightly shining...snow is melting, and it is a beautiful day at LoneStar Ranch!  It got pretty cold last night, but the temp is gradually climbing and there are little rivers of melting snow everywhere.   After tearing the "bedroom" apart to fix a water leak today, we decided to go to town (Angel Fire) and have some lunch.  Oh yeah, and do a little shopping, too.

I hit the Valley Market and then went to a cool little shop that sells all kinds of gifts, decorative items, furniture and clothing.  Found a fleece vest I couldn't live without, and bought 10 lbs of alpine grass seed, and 1/2 lb of native wildflower seeds. The lady told me to let this snow melt a bit tomorrow and then sow it...we are expecting more snow on Monday, and she said that it would be fine under that blanket of snow... I am planning on sowing it heavily around the motorhome so that we won't have to walk on MUD or DIRT this summer.   The house won't be finished until probably late July or early August, and I will deal with that yard later.  So tomorrow, I will do my seed-sowing dance around the motorhome---log on to the web cam to catch the exciting action! I would love to sit outside and read my book, but the wind is still pretty stiff and cuts right through you.

One of the carpenters showed up today and is building the walls for the basement...I can't wait to see how big the rooms will end up being!  Look way different in person than it does on paper!

I am posting photos daily on my Flickr account---way more than I can post here---so go over there and check it out.
