ABOUT ME...
Thanks for dropping by my web blog! Hope you find some interesting things and want to check it out often!
Married: 32 years to Henry.
Two grown kids: Jenna, a senior at TWU majoring in Dance Education; and Brad, married to Jenny and father of our first grandchild, Kate!
Work: Admin/Marketing at The Garland Group Technology Risk Services. Henry, Brad, and I work together in our company that does Technology Audits for Financial Institutions and lots of other services --- Brad is gradually taking over, as Henry and I are thinking towards retirement! Jenna also works part time for the company.
Love dogs! I raise Cavalier Spaniels-- I have 4: Bella, Scarlett, Maddie and Sophie. One of each color. Henry has 3 "outside dogs" - Allie, a boxer; Brandy, a coon hound, and Chewy, a Jack Russell.
Musician / Teacher: I spent MOST of my career teaching music and performing professionally. Played in bands and did gigs all around the DFW Metroplex and the state. Taught middle school/high school choir, keyboard lab, voice and piano lessons. Now doing contemporary Christian music in our church praise band and singing groups. I am the accompanist at First Baptist Church of Wylie.
Christian: I thank God for all He has given me in my life, and how He continues to guide us and lead us along the path that honors Him. We are ready and able to do what we can to glorify Him!
Hobbies: Music, Reading, Gardening, pets, Tennis, Photography
For the future: Currently building a vacation home in northern New Mexico (Enchanted Circle) We love the mountains, and the cooler climate, and the feeling of being in nature!

This photo was taken in December of 2006, near Angel Fire, New Mexico.
A week later, it started snowing and it snowed almost 5 feet before stopping! Northern New Mexico got lots of snow this winter!
Gastric Bypass Patient: Thought I would mention one other life-changing event in my life. Almost four years ago, I had a gastric bypass operation, and it saved my life. I lost about 125 lbs and had no negative side effects whatsoever, or complications. It was the single most positive thing I have ever done for myself. If you have any questions regarding my experiences with this surgery, please do not hesitate to email me and ask. I will not try to persuade anyone to do anything --- I will simply tell you what I went through. Our son recently had a bypass as well, and is doing great! You can read his story on his blog here.
Thanks for dropping by!
